Harrison County CASA Program receives $2000 Ambassador gift from West Virginia Automobile and Truck Association (WVATDA) in honor of Harry Green III
JANUARY 20, 2012- Clarksburg, WV – The West Virginia Automobile and Truck Dealers Association (WVATDA) has designated their prestigious Ambassador gift to be given to the Harrison County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program on behalf of the association’s past chairman, Harry Green III. Every three years a gift is presented to an organization selected by the WVATDA ambassador. This year’s ambassador, Harry (Hal) Green III chose the CASA program for the gift due to their work in assisting disadvantaged children. “We are proud to give back to our community, especially to an organization that represents hope and care for children. I can’t think of any cause that is more worthwhile.” Green stated.

CASA recruits, screens and provides trained volunteers to provide quality advocacy for abused and neglected children in the Harrison County court system with the goal of timely placement in safe permanent homes. A check for $2000 was presented by Hal Green to key CASA officials at Harry Green Chevrolet Nissan in Clarksburg on Thursday, January 19. Present for the organization were Darrell Moorhead out-going Board President, Tom Bailey in-coming Board President and Cheri Kenney, Director of the Harrison County CASA.

The West Virginia Automobile and Truck Association operates in concert with the national NADA and its charitable foundation to benefit the communities served by its member dealerships. Mr. Green was Chairman of the WVATDA from 2009 through 2011. Harry Green Chevrolet Nissan was founded by Hal’s father, Harry Green in 1959. It is currently one of the largest dealerships for new and used vehicles in West Virginia.

Veteran's Day 11/11/11
It is a day most of us are just glad to have another day off work! But if you ever find the time to sit and truly listen to one of our Veterans that have served our country it will amaze you what they go through fighting for this Country.
A history lesson everyone should experience.

Forest Festival 2011 Lumberjack Competition
2011 Mountain State Forest Festival Lumberjack Contest was a great event to be a part of this year. We gathered our Green Team and headed out at 5AM on Saturday morning to enjoy fellowship with the community of Elkins and surrounding areas. Nestled in the beautiful foliage of Fall was this astounding event. We all enjoyed the time spent with everyone this year. We also want to congratulate Josh Larkin of Elkins for winning the $100 Cabela’s Gift Card.
